The ARTIFACTS series explores the quiet beauty of broken forms. Inspired by a lifelong fascination with archaeology, my intention is to evoke a similar sense of curiosity and wonder by creating “fragments” that feel both ancient and timeless. These hand-formed pieces draw the viewer in to observe their intricate textural detail while alluding to a greater context.

From a spiritual perspective, these fragments reflect the grace God offers us in our brokenness—“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds” (Psalm 147:3). Even now, we are being renewed day by day (2 Corinthians 4:16), and through Christ, we are being restored, strengthened, and made firm (1 Peter 5:10). These relief sculptures are my way of bearing witness to those promises.
