the quiet

beauty

of broken

form

Inspired by a lifelong fascination with archaeology and a love of african culture, the artifacts series is intended to evoke a similar sense of curiosity and wonder. by “creating fragments” that feel both ancient and timeless, These hand-formed pieces draw the viewer in to observe their intricate textural detail while alluding to a greater context.

From a spiritual perspective, these fragments reflect the grace God offers us in our brokenness—

“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds”

(Psalm 147:3).

Even in our outward suffering, we are being renewed internally day by day, and through Christ, we are being restored, strengthened, and made firm

(2 Corinthians 4:16) (1 Peter 5:10).

These BAS-relief sculptures BEAR witness to those promises.
